HDK - Well Abandonment

Description

The HDK Section Mill is a hydraulically activated tool designed for use in well abandonment applications. The HDK is engineered to utilize the same knives for cutting out and milling, yielding both an efficient and economical operation. The optimized cutting structure incorporates chip breaker technology that generates consistent steel cuttings that proficiently move up-hole and eliminate accumulation near the active cutting zone.

Features and Benefits

Patented Technology.

The internal actuator incorporates nozzle ports directing flow at the cutters and up-hole to eliminate cuttings at the knife pockets.

The non-invasive flow path design allows for the utilization of other tools below the HDK without effecting hydraulic operations.

The HDK's required pressure drops are independently created within the tool, eliminating the need for complex hydraulic calculations.

Radial actuation design maximizes available cutting horsepower for quicker cut-outs and more surface area for increased load distribution.
